Hello LSLT readers! My name is Lauren Imhof, and I am the new AmeriCorps member serving at Lower Shore Land Trust. I’m currently a senior at Salisbury University, majoring in Environmental Studies and Economics. I love being creative, whether that’s outdoors in my garden, playing guitar and singing on my church’s worship team, or sewing new crafts.

I had the joy of meeting the LSLT team through my summer research project, “Mapping Nonprofit Career Pathways in Delmarva’s Green Economy.” Including the team, I interviewed 23 green professionals about the education, skills, and attitudes that lead them into their current position. This led me to AmeriCorps, and now being on the LSLT team myself!

Throughout this next year, I will assist with stewardship, conservation, and restoration. I interned with the Land Protection team at the Lancaster Farmland Trust two summers ago, organizing and updating all their farm files. I’m excited to bring those skills to the Lower Shore Land Trust and to get more experience in field monitoring come spring. I can’t wait for all the new experiences at the Lower Shore Land Trust and make sure to come say hi if you see me at an event!
