Stewardship Volunteers
Stewardship Volunteers support our team in monitoring and surveying conservation easements across the Lower Eastern Shore. Volunteers help document the condition of protected properties and ensure that conservation practices continue to be upheld.

This is a great opportunity to explore private landscapes throughout the region while gaining hands-on experience in land stewardship and conservation. Because properties can include wetlands, dense vegetation, and uneven terrain, volunteers should be comfortable walking outdoors in a variety of conditions, including muddy, wet, and buggy environments.
CORE Plans
A Conservation & Resilience (CORE) Management Plan helps landowners understand how changing environmental conditions may affect their property. The plan identifies potential risks, such as flooding and saltwater intrusion, and provides practical strategies for preparing for these changes.

CORE Plans are tailored to each property and its landowner’s goals. They include management recommendations, land use strategies, and resources to help turn those recommendations into action.
