🌺🎶 “I Gave My Love A Native Plant” 🎶🌺
My Valentine sings beautiful songs to me. Another does a little dance around my back yard, putting on a beautiful show for me. Sometimes, I see my Valentines out my window, arriving right on time for a visit. All I have to do is give my Valentines plenty of water and food, and a safe place to live, and I am rewarded with such delight, smiles, and joy. My heart is always full!
Guess how I got lucky enough to find my sweet Valentines? I know exactly what my Valentines love – plants, shrubs and trees. Yup, that’s right, not diamonds, not chocolates, not fancy dinners or Caribbean cruises or serenades to a balcony holding up a boom box blaring “In Your Eyes.” Just the green stuff. But not any old green stuff – my Valentines want only the native plants. You see, my Valentines like what they like, and I am more than happy to make sure I get exactly what they need so they keep coming back, in all their beauty and romance, giving me precious gifts of butterflies, bees, thriving gardens and farms, healthy air and water. I don’t think getting my Valentines exactly what they want is too much to ask in return, do you?
