Rallying for Conservation in Cleveland

Lower Shore Land Trust staff attended the Land Trust Alliance “Rally” Conference in Cleveland, OH.
Each year, thousands of land trusts across the nation rally together to talk about various topics and learn from each other, bouncing ideas off one another, and to leave the conference with more knowledge about the land around us. This conference is important for understating the current state of conservation nationally, new technology, new laws, fundraising ideas, new Land Trust Alliance Accreditation policies, and the overall collaboration and networking with local, state, and federal partners.
In addition to learning tons of new stuff, staff got to experience a beautiful, old industrial city that is full of life! If you get the chance and are an avid birder, make sure to check out the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve located just outside the downtown area.
