Allow me to paint you a scene:

You’re cruising along on back roads, the scent of Autumn leaves and fresh forest air wafting through your senses, passing open farmland and cool forests, your stress falling away and your mood lifting in anticipation of your destination: a festive and relaxing gathering of friends.
You arrive at party headquarters: a beautiful, rustic vineyard, where friendly, kind people are welcoming you in, so happy to see you. They have created an afternoon experience of fellowship, food, libations, music, dancing, and relaxation, JUST FOR YOU. Your only job over the next 3 hours is to take it all in, relax, and enjoy.
You take a moment to decide: George’s Mixes Bloody Mary Bar? Glass of Bordeleau Vineyard wine? Local craft beer? Then, you meander over to Baywater Seafood’s glorious array of fresh shucked oysters and realize you’ve hit the Saturday Afternoon Jackpot…But OH! Look! It’s The Modern Graze, offering their signature charcuterie offerings…With your delicious choices made and in hand, you opt to take a short stroll to the waterfront and see the sun setting, casting diamond-like reflections on the water. You feel the tightness in your shoulders start to release and your breath begins to slow and deepen.
Suddenly, your ears perk up, because you hear a sweet, soulful sound coming from the tent area by the vines, and you roam in that direction and soak up the vibe of local singer-songwriter, Neal Hooks and his band, The Pocomoke Sound. They’re singing to you about life on the Eastern Shore, love, loss, simple pleasures, and everything in between.

Just when you think it can’t get any better, Pit-n-Pub catering begins to waft into the air, boasting barbecue aromas and other delights, so you grab your plate and fill it with deliciousness. Then the desserts are served, fresh and locally made, to finish it all with a flourish!
Now, you simply enjoy the scenery, the warmth of a fire by a lovely brick hearth, and the company of friends.
Later on, the event winds down, and you’re ready to turn in for the night. You breathe a deep sigh, and you leave the Flannel Formal, knowing you supported a great cause. You’re happily satiated by nature, a great meal, music in your soul, and the contentment of new memories made. And we’re so glad you came.
Join us at the 10th Annual Flannel Formal on Saturday, November 7th, 3:30-6:30pm at Bordeleau Vineyard & Winery in Eden, Maryland.
