About the event

Let's Talk About Marshes!

Community meetings will be held to review the progress of our Marshes for Tomorrow project, share how your input is being incorporated into our tidal saltmarsh restoration planning, and discuss our next steps. Online registration will close 24 hours prior to meeting, but if you want to register at the door, we encourage your attendance.

Marshes for Tomorrow (MfT) is an ambitious project aiming to identify, protect, and restore at least 25,000 acres of the most important tidal salt marsh habitat in Maryland for Saltmarsh Sparrows. We recognize community input is exceptionally important for the success of this project in identifying the best locations to concentrate our conservation and restoration efforts for birds and people. This is the second round of meetings, after the first round of community meetings that were held in January 2024. You are invited to attend one or more of the four meetings, as they each address a similar overall theme but will address subjects specific to the region in which each meeting is held. You can expect differing feedback and points-of-view from each meeting.

Online registration will close 24 hours prior to meeting, but if you want to register at the door, we encourage your attendance.
